Our work improves early childhood education programs and its workforce through education, leadership, and advocacy in the Lincoln community and across Nebraska.
Some of our initiatives include:
- Awarding scholarships to local early childhood education professionals pursing Bachelor’s Degrees, Associate Degrees, and CDAs while working full-time
- Matching early childhood apprentices with a mentor for 1-on-1 support to develop skills and knowledge of early childhood education
- Increasing the leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities of early childhood educators
- Partnering with communities to implement the Rooted in Relationships Pyramid Model enhancing the social-emotional development of children ages birth to eight
- Providing observations, individualized coaching sessions, and funding to enhance materials and professional development opportunities for childcare providers
- Helping early childhood educators form secure relationships in the classroom via professional learning opportunities and strategy applications
- Working with parents and caregivers through classes to help them understand their child’s emotional world and enhance the development of their child's self-esteem
