Our work improves early childhood education programs and its workforce through education, leadership, and advocacy in the Lincoln community and across Nebraska. Examples of our efforts include: -Awarding scholarshipsto local early childhood education professionals pursing Bachelor’s Degrees, Associate Degrees, and CDAs -Providing salary supplements to low-paid early care and education professionals working with children ages birth to five in licensed family childcare settings -Increasing the leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities of early childhood education program directors and family childcare providers through monthly meetings -Partnering with communities to implement evidence-based practices via the Pyramid Model which enhance the social-emotional development of children ages birth to eight -Providing observations, individualized coaching sessions, funds to enhance materials, and professional development opportunities for childcare providers serving infants and toddlers -Helping early childhood educatorsform secure relationships in the classroom via professional learning opportunities and strategy applications -Working with parents and caregivers to help them understand their child’s emotional world, support their ability to manage their emotions, and enhance the development of self-esteem
While we are proud to promote our programs and achievements, there is always opportunity to grow to be able to help more of the early childhood community in Lincoln and beyond. We currently have educators on waitlists for scholarships and salary supplements, and have to limit the number of participants we can help in some of our programs.
Your donation to us today, no matter the size, helps support educators, families and children throughout our great city! Thank you Lincoln!
