Circle of Security™ Parenting

Circle of Security™-Parenting is a parenting program based on years of research about how to build a strong relationship with children. It is designed to help parents learn how to respond to their child’s needs in a way that enhances their connection with them, which often leads to changes in the child’s behavior. Circle of Security™-Parenting helps parents give their children a feeling of security and confidence so they can explore, learn, grow and build positive relationships; all essential skills for life-long success.

Successes in 2024-25

303 parents participated in a DHHS-funded class.
90 parents participated in a NCAPF-funded class.
24 COSP classes were completed funded by NCAPF.
Helped parents learn how to respond to their child’s needs in a way that enhances the attachment between parent and child.
Helped parents give their children a feeling of security and confidence so they can explore, learn, grow, and build positive relationships: all essential skills for lifelong success.

Note: Nebraska AEYC operates two separate COSP grants: one through the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) and one through the Nebraska Child Abuse Prevention Fund (NCAPF).
