Celebrating Young Children Conference
The Omaha Chapter of NeAEYC is very excited about our upcoming Celebrating Young Children Conference! Please consider joining us for this year’s conference. For a low registration fee of $35 you will receive lunch, 6 hours of DHHS credit, a high quality children’s book, and many reasons to celebrate YOU!

Keynote Speaker: Tim Kinnard – Power Play! Tim is an associate professor of early learning in the Curriculum & Instruction department at Texas State University. A former preschool, pre-K and Kindergarten teacher, Tim currently researches taken-for-granted notions about childhood, teaching and learning. He co-runs a multi-lingual program where pre-service teachers and 3-to-7-year-olds make discoveries together through constructive play, socio-dramatic play and storytelling in a public school.
Conference Sessions: Learn from local experts. Topics include: Family Engagement, Block Play for Young Children, Mindfulness, Gardening with Young Children, Advocacy, Loose Parts, Active Play, Introducing the Arts, Challenging Behaviors
Teacher Play Centers: Learn from currently practicing educators in an informal, playful setting. Topics include: Gardening, Storytelling & Story Acting, Exploring Plants & Animals with Toddlers, Bringing Nature into Your Classroom, Puppet Play Pallooza, Process Art, Documenting Child Learning, Infant and Toddler Play, Teaching Forces & Motion
Community Resource Room: Come visit with over 40 community non-profit organizations with resources for children, families and teachers!
